:: WHAT SEPARATES THIS CAMP FROM OTHER SURF CAMPS?
We have been in the business of teaching people to surf for over 30 years and have developed and perfected our teaching methods. This is one of the only surf camps run by a professional surfing instructor/Coach. Camp Director Elliot Zuckerman has devoted his life to introducing people to surfing and improving their skill.
Surf2live Surf Camp was one of the First Officially Recognized Surf School to be Endorsed by National Surf School and Instructors Assocation, The United States Governing for the Sport of Surfing.
Today many of our former students are winning competitions nationwide.
One big difference between our camp and others is the beach we use. Our location is one of the least crowded waves in New York (shhhh! don't tell anyone) making it easier and less intimidating to learn to surf. Since we are usually the only ones surfing at our beach you don't have to worry about advanced surfers or angry locals flying past you. We also use a sand bottomed beach break to teach that is ideal for the first time surfer.
Another aspect that separates us from other camps is that all of our instructors are adults. Our instructors work with the students in small well-structured groups to ensure a safe and productive learning environment. We have developed a strong reputation via word of mouth that has seperates us from the others.
Be sure and do your research when choosing a surf camp. Ask questions about group sizes, instructor to student ratios, qualifications of the instructors, crowd factors the beach they use, about , camp supervision and anything other questions you can think of.
We don't need to have our surf camp be "presented by" some big corporate surf company. We do it the "Surf2live Way".

Summer Camp is a completely supervised experience and children receive all the essentials to surfing: safety, paddling, standing and turning, plus how to read weather, tides and currents.
This is our 15th year running Summer Camp for kids and our classes have been rated Number 1 in the country!
Class sizes are limited so book now!
Classes run Monday through Friday, 4-hours per day and are tide-dependent.
Classes take place on Long Beach, Long Island. Our surfing beach location is away from all crowds on a lifeguard protected beach.
Registration is required prior to the start camp and we do allow last minute sign up with 24 hours notice.
The price of lessons includes soft surfboard, wetsuit and rash guard. Please download the registration and release forms, fill them out and bring them on the day of your first lesson. We also urge you to pre-register for this program, as there is a limit to numbers.
Camps are open to boys and girls ages 8-18 of any skill level.
Whether you're a beginner or an experienced surfer, our camps will enhance your surfing skills and experience. Surf2live provides rash guards and wetsuits (if needed) children will be supervised by our experienced, certified instructors from the time they arrive until they leave. They'll have an amazing day in the sun and surf... we guarantee it!
Camp Activities
Surf safety : Learn how to enter and exit the surf, and ride safely, with introduction to the etiquette of surfing to avoid accidents.
Ocean safety : Learn the different types of ocean and surf currents and how to safely avoid and/or maneuver through them.
Land instruction: Learn the "pop up" where students will be taught how to jump correctly from a prone position to a proper surfing stance.
Ocean surf instruction: Professional and master surf instructors will be in the water assisting students in the correct way to catch and ride waves.
Surf2live provides the finest surfing lessons, your child will surf as much as they want during thier weekly camp, we teach them to surf, not play beach games. Our school is owned by parents, we know what your child can do and will allow them to exceed in this great sport the right way, the safe way, the Surf2live way.
Parents are not only welcome to stay and see the kids surf but we love when the parents take part and learn with them in our adult surfing camp.
